 Robert J. Tarlov, CLU, ChFC, CFP
Rob lives in Colchester, CT with his wife of 30 years, Claudia, and their two children. He has been active in youth soccer and baseball and has served as Chairman of the Sewer and Water Commission and the Utilities Commission since 1990.
Rob has been in the Financial Services Industry for over 30 years since joining John Hancock as an agent during college at Pratt Institute where he received a bachelor degree in Communication Arts. He is a member and has served as President of the following organizations: Connecticut Association of Insurance & Financial Professionals, Connecticut General Agents and Managers Association, Central Connecticut Business and Estate Planning Council, New Haven Association of Insurance & Financial Professionals and of the Hartford Chapter of the American Society of Financial Service Professionals and has served as Secretary of the Meriden Rotary Club since 1985. He is a member and President of the Connecticut Valley Chapter of the Financial Planning Association and an Investment Adviser Representative with ING Financial Partners, Inc. He has served on many Connecticut Insurance Department committees and task forces including the License Examination Review Committee and Continuing Education.
In 1996, Rob received the Thomas J. Wolff Award. This award is a lifetime achievement award that recognizes an individual in Connecticut who has given to the industry and his community. Rob is the youngest recipient of this award.
Rob was again recognized in 1997 with the Frank P. Shoring Award. This award is given be the Hartford Chapter of CLU and ChFC for that member who has contributed to both the Chapter and the community.
Rob has been recognized by his local Rotary Club on two occasions as a Paul Harris Fellow.
The American College has recognized the Firm with the Professional Growth Award on five occasions for its commitment to advanced education in Financial Services and related studies.
Rob has been a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table since 2003 and has qualified at the Court of the Table on three occasions.

 Richard A. Bachand | LUTCF*
Richard is one of five children and lives in Essex, Ct with his wife, Karen and daughter Emily. He has served on the Corporate Roundtable for the
University of
Connecticut and Board of Advisors for the
University of
Hartford. He has served as a board member with the Connecticut Waterfowl Trust. He is secretary/treasurer for the Southington Commission on Disabilities. He also makes time for his love of fishing.
Richard has been in the Financial Services Industry since 1988. He started his career as a marketing representative with The John Hancock in
Meriden, CT. He was recognized as the New Associate of the Year and qualified for the National Quality Award, and National Sales Achievement Award in 1989, 1990, and 1991. After three years, Richard was promoted to Sales Manager. He managed a staff of seventeen agents, and then grew his staff to twenty-seven agents over the next several years. He has been recognized as one of the “Top Ten” sales managers for John Hancock in 1994, 1995, and 1996. In 1997, he left John Hancock to help establish Paragon Financial Group. Richard held the position of Director of Marketing for several years, before moving back into his planning practice.
Richard is a past president and past state director of the New Haven Life Underwriters Association. He has earned his Life Underwriters Training Council Fellowship, as well as his Agency Management Training Council certificate. He is a Registered Representative and Investment Adviser Representative with ING Financial Partners, member SIPC, and holds life, accident, health, and variable products licenses with the State of
CT.
