I am one of five children and live in Essex, CT with my wife, Karen and daughters Emily and Avery. I have served on the Corporate Roundtable for the University of Connecticut and Board of Advisors for the University of Hartford. I have served as a board member with the Connecticut Waterfowl Trust. I always make time for my love of fishing. I have been active in several Chamber of Commerces.
I have been in the Financial Services Industry since 1988. I started his career as a marketing representative with John Hancock in Meriden, CT, and began my long term business relationship with Rob Tarlov. After three years, I was promoted to Sales Manager. I managed a staff of seventeen agents, and then grew my staff to twenty-seven agents over the next several years. I left John Hancock to help establish Paragon Financial Group, which later became Tarlov Financial Group. I held the position of Director of Marketing for several years, before moving back to devote full time to my planning practice.
I am past president and past state director of the New Haven Life Underwriters Association. I have earned the Life Underwriters Training Council Fellowship, as well as the Agency Management Training Council certificate. I am a Registered Representative and Investment Adviser Representative with Cetera Advisor Networks LLC Member FINRA/SIPC, and I hold Life, Accident and Health licenses in Connecticut as well as several other states.
